  • We believe there is a difference between a typical digital marketing agency and what we do. Our goal is to help our clients grow, whether or not that includes digital tactics or not. Agencies tend to focus on digital tactics (web enhancements, social media, PPC, etc) to help their clients, but don’t typically apply sales, operations and c-level management experience in developing a more comprehensive and complete growth strategy. At RevUp Growth Partners, we can help build out your marketing infrastructure, sales team and/or operations processes to promote profitable growth.  

    Don’t get us wrong – we deeply value (and frequently work with) marketing agencies. In fact, they bring important technical expertise we simply don’t have, and play a critical role in expertly executing marketing tactics. We simply help ensure they are pointed at the right problem in the right direction.

  • Digital Marketing Agencies are usually tacticians – they implement marketing best practices. When pointed at the right problem in the right direction they can be very effective….likely to take a holistic view of the business – they’ll focus on the tactics they’re best at (websites, SEO, social, etc). They’re going to point at digital marketing solutions whether or not those solutions are addressing the right problems.

  • A lot of growing businesses hire digital marketing agencies either in lieu of staffing an internal marketing team or to supplement the efforts of their in-house team. If your organization has a marketing leader and that leader is working with an agency to execute on their strategy, that arrangement could work well. 

    However, we’ve seen issues when CEOs outsource their marketing efforts to an agency without a sound strategy in place, and/or without the time and expertise to manage the agency properly. This is where RevUp Growth partners can add a lot of value. By starting with a custom strategy, we can make sure your limited resources are being spent in the most efficient manner. We can direct the efforts of your agency and make sure they are consistently delivering high quality results. We have extensive experience working with and managing agencies with successful outcomes.

  • Brian and Cheryl are owner-operators and lead every client relationship. We help you build your strategy and hold ultimate responsibility for the quality and timeliness of all deliverables. We also contract with a network of talented partners, who we’ll typically deploy when we need special expertise or additional execution capacity. Our goal is for your client experience to feel seamless and efficient.

Our Services

  • Yes, while we’re a small firm, we’re always adding talented partners to our team. Our model is unique in that we start with creating a custom growth strategy for each client. If the execution of the strategy requires a skill or resource not currently in our wheelhouse, we will go out and find the right person for the job. We’ll vet and manage them, taking full responsibility for their output.

  • While we do have extensive experience in several industries including education, technology, SaaS, CPG, clean technology, and nonprofits (small, mid-sized, and national – see below), our methodology is applicable in most industries. Of course, a methodology is only as good as the people implementing it. At RevUp, we start with curiosity and ask a lot of questions about your industry, competitors, goals, budget and timelines before rolling up our sleeves to create and execute a custom growth strategy for you.

  • Yes! Co-owner Cheryl has built her entire career in fundraising/development and marketing leadership, and offers fractional and interim development services including team leadership, planning and strategy, systems & operations consulting, grant writing, and more. What’s more, when you work with RevUp, you get the added benefit of our network of marketing experts to help tell your story to donors.

  • We aren’t ourselves experts in acquisitive growth, but we know plenty of people who are (including some of our clients!). If your plan includes acquisitive growth strategies, we’d love to make a connection.

  • Because we never offer a one-size-fits-all approach, we always produce custom quotes for every client. We can bill hourly (and have some clients who prefer that), but we strongly prefer to build you a deliverable-based package that maximizes flexibility and ensures we’re all aligned on the most important priorities.

  • No – we adapt to what you need. However, we’ve found that investing extra time upfront to fully understand the problem and assemble the team and tools to attack it is critical to ensuring you’re executing the right plan in the right way.

    As for “Transition” – that’s on your timeline. We’ve had some clients for more than a year – we just continue to serve as their marketing and growth team as they march toward their goals. Others need us just for a few months to kick-start a strong strategy.
